DO'S AND DON'TS
Do's
- Hire a wedding planner to help you with every aspect of your wedding
planning. You can also meet with a wedding consultant to help you
get started on the right foot, or help you with specific problems such
as establishing a budget (See : Planners, consultants, coordinators).
- Identify the value of the wedding that you can afford (See : Budget)
- Consider your budget before choosing the type and kind of wedding
you want (See : Types and kinds of weddings).
- You must also consider your budget before selecting your wedding party
and making your guest list. The more people that you include, the
more expenses you'll have.
- Understand what product or service you can get for what price, as
well as the quality of these.
- Hire professionals as soon as possible. The best are usually
booked way in advance.
- Sign a contract with all vendors.
- Follow a timeline and establish a schedule (See : Calendar).
- Hire a coordinator for your wedding day. You will have enough
stress to cope with that day. Leave the details up to a professional
(See : Planners, consultants, coordinators).
- On your wedding day relax, let yourself be pampered. Appreciate
every moment, the day will go by very quickly.
Don'ts
- Do everything yourself (See : Planners, consultants, coordinators).
- Begin your planning without a budget (See : Budget).
- Hire a vendor without asking the right questions (See : Planners,
consultants, coordinators).
- Leave things to be taken care of last minute (See : Calendar).
- Take care of the coordination of your wedding day, yourself (See :
Planners, consultants, coordinators).
